Over the past couple of years, as well as studying for their A levels they have risen to many challenges, from fundraising to learning the background to the situation in Africa and also about being community and living together as a team. This has all been about preparing us to be able to give the most that we can into the communities that we visit and at the same time being open to God and listening for His voice in our lives.
These young people will for the next couple of weeks will be out in Africa, representing our Church, taking Gods love to those poor and vulnerable, within fragile communities and at the same time I pray that God will speak to each of them, strengthen their faith, and draw them to himself.
We are really grateful for all the support that we have had from everyone in the parish, across the country and from the Hands Hub. Thank you to everyone who attended the commissioning service, last night ‘‘ it was good to see so many of you there and we know that there were many more praying for us as well!
