This year, Freya, Ben and I designed the Team Africa 2026 logo, and it honestly feels amazing seeing something we created represent our whole team.
We chose every part of the logo for a reason.
The outline of Africa shows where we’re going and the people we’re going to support.
The figures around the edge represent the careworkers, the children, and us all connected as one community.
The cross in the centre reminds us that Jesus is the focus of everything we do.
The Scottish badge stands for St Andrew’s Church, the place that sends us out and supports us.
And finally, we included the Bible quote Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It’s part of the holiday club song Be Happy, which loads of us grew up singing. It’s one of those verses that sticks with you, especially when you’re nervous or excited about something big. It reminds us that even though we’re young, we’re not doing this alone.
